Lol come on man, don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining. Any cam, there's a good bet they're leaving something on the table somewhere. One guy may have a t-Rex cam but he's leaving a lot of midrange on the table. It depends on the application. You pretty much called the 224 outdated crap! You knew exactly what you were doing. Ive got tea/tfs 220 heads with a Brian tooley cam. Will know what it lays down in a few weeks. Brian has done alot of R&D on trickflows so that's why I chose him to spec me a custom cam.

^^^ It's go be a killer. It's like if brian spec the cam. Your opponent *** is toast. What separates brian tooley from everybody else on his cams. He really understands heads and what each type of cylinder head likes. Plus he does heads in house.
You seem to be on an anti TSP kick lately. I don't see them running down other shops or cams trying to drum up business. They can custom spec a cam just like you or any other shop with any of the Comp lobes. To the OP, as far as a cam, if you want a custom grind you have many options as far as vendors. Since you were already thinking about TSP's stuff you can call them and I'm sure they will walk you through it. Ask about a custom cam & give them all of your details. As far as heads, on a 5.3, I'd go with their stage 2.5 5.3 heads. Huge bang for the buck!

this might be a stupid question, but when it comes to sensors what all does the 5.3 need to start? like the crank sensor obviously but what else? and is it worth doing a cam swap in a 5.3 that has 200,000 miles on it? and what cam would be best for a cam only Silverado
