BTR SLR lifters?
Where did they go? Really need to find a set but from what I'm hearing you can't buy them anywhere. I've heard they are replacing them with the Johnson SLR lifters at twice the cost. To be honest, before I pay $400 for factory style lifters and another $40+ on trays it seems like it would be logical to just spend the ~$550 for Morels with the link bar...

BTR lifters are no longer being manufactured according to Ethan @ Hubbard Racing. BTR is selling Johnson SLR lifters to replace the BTR brand.

This might be a good alternative.

The SLR lifters are indeed hard to find.
We have every other option to cover every build you could do though, save for a flat tappet camshaft in an LS engine lol.
In case you have not read that thread, the Lunati or the Morel lifters can BOTH be had for around the price of the "SLR" lifters and are very high quality. Up from there we have the street tie bars also at less than $400 and then the larger dia HD lifters come into play. We have drop ins or tie bars. IIRC the "SLR" lifters only had the stock captured style roller just like the other street style lifters. There is also the COMP OE style lifters and quite a few offerings from ISKY that I did not list as well.
Johnson lifters are super nice, but they can get really pricey as well.
If you want to build it with quality, save up and get them. The difference between the drop ins and the tie bars are likely a couple cases of beer or a night at the bar for some people. Gotta sacrifice for RACECAR!
The short travel lifters can be a pain and you are warned (just like with morels) NOT to use heavier than 5-20 oil. I am not sure if anyone knows about that or not. Properly measuring preload on a reg set of lifters seems to be hard enough that there are so many threads about it and people still not know how, but getting the measurement dead nuts on and possibly having to buy custom length pushrods (which we do offer from Manley and Manton!) may be a bit too much.
