What springs are being used for these bigger cams on stock heads?
I know my Manley's are only rated for .600 of a lift and was wondering with all these newer and bigger cams, what valve springs are being used for stock heads that allow up to the higher lift. Thanks.

I think the PP Golds are about the best out right now.

What about the REV dual springs? I am using them on my G5X2 and no problems yet. I think they are the springs Lou recommends with that cam. Is there a reason they weren't mentioned? I have heard some bad things about them but I think it was just the first batch or something. I got a good deal on them so I bought them, they weren't my first choice though. I wanted the Patriots but they were on hold for the seats. Anyone else using Revs?
Well, I broke a spring yesterday...about 3K on the springs with about 15 track passes. A replacement will be here today but I am definitely changing brands when I have the money.

We have not tried the Comp 921's yet, but we've run both the Crane and Patriot dual valve springs with no problems whatsoever. The Patriot valve spring package is hard to beat for $295 considering it comes with the dual valve springs, titanium retainers, hardened spring seats, Viton valve seals, and Super 7 locks. We sell the Patriot kit the most with our camshaft packages.

Ok so far here is the list:
Crane
Patriot
Comp
Iskys
Rev
VHP
Of those above, which ones do NOT require any modifications to the heads? Im currently running a 224/.581 112 cam with the Manley valvetrain kit and I believe the springs are rated only to a .600" lift. Im looking for a quality, durable, reliable, etc. spring that I can use on my completely stock LS1 heads. Which of those would be for me? Thanks.
