Default Anybody know much about BTR Brian Tooley Racing Springs?

Hey i am new to the forum and i am actually a ford guy

I was looking on ebay for springs and saw these springs
http://www.briantooleyracing.com/650...l-springs.html

Nobody on and mustang forums has ever run them. I know that his stuff is mostly corvette stuff so i thought i would chime on here and see what you guys know about BTR Springs, and if the ones in the link i posted are any good?

Thanks

Ok, do you know who makes his springs? He claims he gets them from the same people who make afr, manley and some good brand springs

Not sure where but it's a reason they call brian tooley the spring king. His stuff is top notch. I'm putting his valve springs along with his titanium retainers on my ls3 heads in the morning.

Enough said - Brian Tooley does not make false claims.

I would think Associated Springs, but don't quote me. Maybe he'll chime in here and help you out.

I ran his Platinum .660 kit with Ti retainers and loved them. No signs of valve float or anything up to 6800rpm. I installed at 1.750 height giving me .050 clearance from coil bind.

Running that same Platinum spring kit. No problems to 7000rpm limiter.

BTR offers the best springs on the market hands down! 99% of the valve springs that we sell are his and everyone loves them! They are a quality product that is very affordable. As for the mustang guys, we have been making progress getting the 4v guys to run his springs. Those who have love them!

I run BTR springs and take them to right at 7 grand and they work like a champ. Brian Tooley has probably forgot more than most "gurus" on here know. His customer service is next to none too.

BTR and top quality are one in the same. Consider where that advice is coming from.

I've ran those BTR springs in the last 3 LS builds that I've done. Great springs! And Brian's customer service is top notch!

I would guess Associated Spring as well.
Straub Technology uses them as well.
I put the BTR on my 5.3. I was very pleased with the kit.

Hey 5.0lover, welcome to LS1tech!

You may find we're a more friendly bunch than the hardcore Ford guys, it's like sometimes they always find a bone to pick with GM guys.

Are you installing an LS engine in your Mustang?

It's good you're doing your homework & research for these springs, a little work now goes a long way and usually saves you from blowing money on more expensive "gee wiz" parts that don't perform better that those in the know use.

I'm pretty sure the AFR 8019s were PAC springs. Regardless, the Mustang guys should know who he is. He ran Total Engine Airflow for years and they're huge in the Mustang community.

People on mustang corral know who he is but nobody has ever run his stuff so they all think its a bad idea to try his springs out

The corral is notorious for **** poor technical information unless you know where to find it(had a 93 and 95 Cobra before going to the cough fast side cough….. I mean dark side ).

Cant go wrong with BTR's springs.
