Interesting. I'm surprised at how close the curves are on those dyno graphs.

I have a graph comparing all three on the same sheet. I'll post that tonight when I get home. It is pretty interesting.

Thanks!

2MCHPWR: Thanks for the compliment! R&D is alot of fun and it can only help when trying to choose the right cam for a particular application.

MOBE: I was running 4:30s for awhile with all of the cams I mentioned above. I did switch out to 4.56s a few week after installing the TR230 and that is what I used to run the times in the sig.

Jason,

I want to go with the 230 and stock heads (for the time being) with 3.73s. Will that be enugh gear?

MOBE: I think you would benefit quite a bit from 4:10s. 3.73s will work however, but you will definitely be leaving some ET/MPH and some extra fun driving on the table by going with them.

Here is the graph comparing all three cams:

Jason--great info! Hmmm.....would love to see the same comparison with stage II heads. I suspect the gap between the 224 and 230 may open up a bit??

It's not really an ignition problem. It is just the tach lead for the dyno doesn't read clearly all the time. It happens quite a bit actually. It's time for a new tach lead... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

In all but a few cases, the gains were on par with my car did in terms of the hp/tq vs rpm change between the two cams.
