I am getting ready to install some after market heads on my 98ls1. I currentlyu have the t-rex cam and want to take full advantage of it with some good heads. I am strongly thinking of patriot stage 2 ls6 heads. What is everyones opiions on this combo. HOw much rwhp will i gain with these heads over my stock ones? I know I will have to flycut my pistons so i am renting the isky tool. thanks

if i pull my motor out to put rod bolt in ill put pistons with reliefs and run 5.3l with around 10.8 c/r that should get me around 500rwhp with a new intake.

the BEST head for you will prolly be the stage 2.5 absolutes. 2500$ for 5.3 and 2700 for ls6. they are the best of the best, and even LG will tell you the same.

no doubt they are better than the patriots but the price is alot more also. I know you get what you pay for. But I just want to add some more hp or should i say budget hp.

hell yeah, then just get the patriots they will make good power at their flow rates, but will STILL underflow that t-rex cam.

i bet you will hit 475 with a good set of patriot heads, and every trick in the book bolt on.
