valve springs...steel or titanium retainers
ok, Im doing a cam in my LS6..stock heads.
max lift is .615 and .610
I am looking at brian tooley springs with .660 max lift
there is an option of steel vs titanium. The steels are pretty light and have great reviews from what i hear.
Any reason I shouldnt just get the steel for my setup?

The steel is probably what you want on a street driven car that will accumulate some miles. The titanium result in a lighter setup and are good for a few more rpm. The titanium could require earlier replacement, but should last as long as most springs depending on how aggressive the setup.

The BTR kits are a very good kit! These are the only springs that we offer just for the fact that they are proven to be some of the best on the market and the price is great!
A steel retainer is fine for most street applications, his steel retainers are some of the lightest on the market as well!

THanks....there is a good chance because at this moment, I have my cam, and now spring kit....so now i gotta figure out what all else I need to do. I know gaskets, but not sure about if I need or have to do my oil pump, timing chain, etc.
