Default how hard to convert to an ls6?

This may seem like a stupid question, but i have to know for sure. I own a 98 Z28 A4, and I have seen ls1 to ls6 conversion kits sold in the PACE Performance catalog, (basically just a ls6 intake, ls6 heads, and a ls6 cam and the needed gaskets). Is it possible to install these parts without removing the engine, because it looks to me like there isnt enough space with the engine still in the car to do all the work? How about just the Intake? How hard is it to get the engine out? Any help would be great!

yes you can install all the parts in car (ls1howto.com), but after spending 2k on the conversion your stuck with around 350rwhp. damn waste of money if you ask me. for 2k you can get a complete h/c and push 400rwhp+

H/C stands for high compression right? (thanks to the acronyms guide) Would you explain more about this set up to me? How does it affect everyday driveability? How much more wear and tear is that on the engine? That kind of power would be great! I am dying to see my baby crank out 400+ ponies!

which heads and cam would u reccomend? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. With new heads and a cam, Would I have to do some reprogramming with my computer to get the fuel curves right? If so how do i go about doing that?

Take some time and do some searches and a lot of reading man.

I've been planning mine for 6 months now and almost have it picked out.
For most people (myself included) a Heads/Cam swap is a huge investment and I can't afford to do it twice so do tons of research and pick what you want.

Also don't be afraid to write or call our sponsors with questions. The ones I've talked to so far have been more than happy to explain things and really go the extra mile to help inform you :judge;

It depends on what you want really.You could get a nice stall converter,longtube headers,LS6 intake and a ported throttle body and would see some big gains with your stock internal motor.This would be a good first step because if you do heads and cam later the above mods would be needed any way.
