Question tach and speedo sweeping back and forth at idle with check gauges light flashing

As title says it faintly flickers at the same time my tach gauge and speedo jump around. Voltage meter is where it's always at so it's not lower than normal. Just curious what could be causing this
Someone else said the cluster might be bad? Would this affect the car at all? Other than not knowing speed fuel etc

I gotcha, don't know how I missed it.

Could be a few things, bad ground, plugs not seated, bad cluster.

I'd disconnect the battery and re-seat that plugs on the cluster AND PCM and see if the problem stays or goes away.

It sounds like you're gonna need more help with this than you might find here.

You'd need to be able to perform some repairs and work on these cars, have general knowledge about them and have some tools to do the work.

The cluster plugs in as it's being installed.

The PCM is at the right fender/cowl area under the hood.

Lol I have a pretty decent knowledge in general of cars, I've already done a lot of stupid little things like solder the connectors got the radio window problem done fuel pump dropped the rear end etc. Just not a fan of electrical problems. The reason I asked about the cluster plugs bedding to be seated is cause I've never even touched the cluster before. Would just seem weird street 16 years that all of a sudden they need to be reseated ya know lol

OK then, you'll need to disconnect the battery. Then get over to the PCM. Using a 7mm socket, undo the center bolts on the two large connectors. The bolt will start the plugs to come out of the cavities. Pull the connectors then re-install them-straight on. The bolts will finish drawing the plugs into the PCM.

The cluster: take out lots of screws. The cluster pulls straight out and un-plugs itself at the same time. Reverse to install. You'll have screws left over
