Sure it's possible! It just all depends on the dyno

Pretty small lift. Why not go a little bigger? 228/232 Torquer v2 cam should get you there

I got a really good deal on the cam from a friend. I'll probably end up staying with the cam for now. I'll go bigger in the future

I wouldn't use an aftermarket cam with GM springs, if the hp curve goes choppy at high rpm or tanks hard earlier than expected springs would be my first suspect.

Aftermarket cam with stock stall is pretty ignorant as well. I tried it when I first started modding cars and it was DUMB.

It's a small cam. I won't need an aftermarket stall. I don't need a dyno queen. just want to low to mid range torque.

I ran a 208/221 (ZZ4)cam in an LT1 and gained nothing performance wise till I gave it a 2800stall.
Stock cars benefit from a stall and a mild stall can drive very pleasantly in a daily drive. The Caprice was a 20K mile a year daily with ZZ4 cam, 2800 stall and 3.42.

Exactly! A good stall stock cam car will be quicker and drive better then a cam stock stall car. I have yet to track my car, but on my Ol' gtech the best I have ran is 12.0 @ 122mph out on the streets. the mph is 5-6mph off from the track but the ET pretty accurate. 3.9 0-60.

Setup:

Slp lid
Ported TB
Slp 1.85 rockers w/ comp 918 beehives(on the car when I bought it with 10,000mi )
FTI 3800 billet converter
Transgo shift kit and b&m cooler
Kooks 1 7/8 headers with Kooks True Duals
Motive 3:73
Umi tq arm
Bmr lca's and panhard bsr
Toyo DR's.

The car has ran with and beat several poorly setup H/C cars. Of course a properly setup H/C/I car would walk me, but the point is to choose your mods wisely.

Oh and the FTI 3800 drives nicer then the stock stall imo. I would not ever go back to a stock stall.

On a daily pretty much anyone would be happy with a 3000-3200 stall QUALITY converter. It isn't the 80s where a "high stall" drives bad and runs hot.
