Default What do i do to 241 heads for more power?

Just picked up these 241 heads from a buddy! I want to put some work into these heads before i put em on to make em at least worth the head swap, what can i do to the heads i was told port n polish, but where can i send them off to? And Martin@tickperformance told me i could mill my heads to bring up the compression, but what can i mill them to? Right now I have a rebuilt 98 LS1 with a sns stage 2 cam, ls1 intake, lt headers,ls7 lifters,7.400 pushrods and cold air intake. It is on a 91,C1500 with a 5 speed and 4.10s.

they are a 66cc head ,maybe mill them down to 60cc.get a good valve job ,and have the springs installed correctly .advance induction ,and TEA do good porting .Texas Speed will port them also .maybe get a ls6 intake ,or a truck intake .the ls truck intake is better then a ls1 intake .

Advanced Induction would be my choice for those heads. Checkout their high compression 241 head program. Several vey impressive dyno results with them floating around on here as well.

AI did one hell of a job on the Dart/RHS heads I have. The CNC port work was amazing.

I had a set of 241's I was matching with a 0.575 lift cam , sent them off to a good cylinder head shop, i wanted them fully ported but as per the advice the shop gave me when i showed them my cam specs they done a 3 angle valve job, milled 0.30 and done some bowl blending. Nothing fancy , was not expensive but had fabulous results and suited the cam very well. Compression bump was very noticeable. They could of ported them right out and charged $$ but they didnt see the need with cam I was using.

I'd recommend the AI HCR 219s for the 241s. I have 241s laying around that I thought about doing the HCR treatment to and building a junkyard motor with them.
