The 10296 offers increased flow capacity as well as the option of higher pressure. The 10295 offers higher pressure only. I would run the 10296 if you plan to have an external oil cooler or remote filter locations. Otherwise the 10295 is adequate.

Its just a cam only budget built motor so the higher pressure would be ok for my car ?..wouldn't it be better to also have the extra flowing capacity also the car will see a few track passes and street runs from time to time

I run the 10296 and like having the extra flow capacity. However, the extra flow capacity does come at a cost. Specifically, the extra capacity does absorb some horsepower, although I don't know how much. Additionally, some argue that the higher capacity pumps run the risk of draining the oil pan. I don't think that concern is valid in most LS applications, but not everyone agrees.

I have the 95, and ported it myself.
It was easy to do, and so far, has worked well.

I got the similar build as yours. I avoided melling and went with a schumanns oil pump from the car shop. They sent me their copo pump with the black spring

I never heard of that pump any major reason why you didn't choose the melling pump?

Just have always heard they suck the pan dry or the plunger deal screws up in them. http://www.schumannsdynamicperformance.com/oil-pumps/chevrolet-ls1-lsx.html
Here is the best around. Not one negative feedback about their pumps.

I ran 10295 and bolted right up to my double roller nice. 70 over 1500 rpm and 60 on idle.
