Default Do i have a ls1 or ls6 block? I think i might have something rare

hey tech, i was just wondering what engine block i have in my SS and the number i got off the block doesnt match anything that i see online as far as casting numbers go. so im not really sure what i have. if anyone has any info that they can share that would be awesome
my casting number is : 122160802

Yep it is something rare, for a SS anyways. Its 5.3 truck engine!

I have a ls6 block. You can tell by the block casting by the pasenger side head. Bullseye is a LS1 block and a rough cadting is the LS6 block.

Also, on the LS1 block there will be two bulls eyes just behind the water pump in front of the intake manifold.

hmm ill have to take a look at that tomorrow and see if its there. if its ls6 theres no bullseye?

Correct. It looks rough in regards to the casting.

try search.I have ls6 block on my 35th.nothing special or any performance gain with it except just better cooling passages.high oil pressure.
