Default Bearing clearances

I'm putting a 408 together. Mainly track car but will see some street use. I plan on staying N/A if not it won't be a big shot. Went with 0.020 and 0.022 ring gap but I'm curious what the mains and rods should be. Rods and crank are new and I'll be running ARP studs and Clevite H bearings.

I believe they can be found on LS1howto.com If I remember correctly, mine were set at .0015. Pretty damn tight.

Assuming you're running an iron block try shooting for .0023 to .0028 mains and .0018 to .0023 on the rods.

I'm running up to 0.0031" on the mains, 0.0030" on the rods, and 0.0067" on the cams on my iron block. Have over 50psi hot idle with 5-30 oil.

Iron block .0029" mains and .0028" rods here. On the iron 370 I have in the works I'm shooting for .0025" main, .0023" rods.
