Default polluter v2 build

Well I decided to go with polluter v2 cam in my 98 ls1 engine. I also bought a ls6 intake as I dont have the money for a fast intake and throttle bottle. How much are the stock heads going to be holding me back over say 243 heads? Or am I better off having some patriot cnc 2.5 heads over those down the road. This in my 1988 ranger with a th400 with 3:73 gears and a 4k stall ati converter. Going to street drive it around town and to the drag strip every now and then.

That's a high RPM cam so you're going to need a really good tuner to drive it around town. CNC heads>243>241. Heads can add roughy 25-40 RWHP over stock. It's all about the combo of everything else though. Things like exhaust, intake manifold, MAF and TB each become the bottleneck if you exceed their flow with other parts like cam or heads.

Go with CNCd heads. You shouldnt find it hard at all to daily drive the car around, just some good tuning will get you done.

Yea was only planning in city street driving. My headers are 1 3/4 primaries with 3inch collectors. To an xpipe and not sure on what mufflers yet was thinking dynomax bullet mufflers. Also im going to be running the corvette fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator setup is that plenty for this combo? Im guessing im going to need 42# injectors?

That cam is great for what it is and will make some nice numbers, even with stock heads and intake.

Yeah, might as well go bigger. Just read as much as you can on it from others who have it so you fully understand what your getting into. You'll need a good tune too for drivability.

So just spit balling here but how much power would I pick up from polluter cam with a ls6 intake 1998 ls1 to prc 2.5 5.3 heads and a fast 102 intake and matching throttlebody. Its late and I cant sleep and winter is just around the corner unfortunately.

I'll be finishing up installing this cam over the weekend and getting tuned the weekend after. I'll let you know how it does.

I'm useing this same cam on some hand ported 243 heads, fast 92/92, supporting valve train and fuel system, lt header open with dumps. Yank 3600 stall, 4l60, 10 bolt with 3:73 gears. And slso have a full zex black out kit with a 92mm plate kit, I'll be happy with a 100-150 shoot but I'd love a 200 shoot. Others with this cam post your dunk results and setups.

Figure the fast intake will give you about 15 hp over the LS6, and the prc 5.3 heads about 30-40 hp over the stock heads

I run the prc 5.3 heads with a MS3 cam and LS6 intake with 4.10's on a 6-speed. It does pretty damn good for what it is

How did the Cam swap go after all? Did you get the car tuned?
