Have you picked up the phone and just talked to Geoff yet? He's not the type to talk "over" you at all. He'll listen and recommend exactly what you need...

I'd like to see a better choice of heads or at least something different than the norm. Frankenstein heads would be a nice choice. I went with Advanced Induction years ago over TEA. Lately the results out of Frankenstein have been awesome.

Only like $100 difference between Frank, AI, and TEA all with springs. At least from the 2 minutes of research I did for pricing it may be more.

Although with .600/.612 lift I'd use a single beehive PSI spring that AI offers over the BTR duals or other comparable duals.

my 03 z06 does 384rwhp and 402rwtq with headers, x pipe, balancer and vortex ram intake. thats it. 450whp should be doable. last i saw there is a blue z06 on youtube making over 440rwhp with stock non ported heads.

I was quoted a LOT more all said and done (BUT that's using his porter's casting TrickFlows)
It's still something I'm considering as well.

I have no idea on the pricing of 799/243, but Chris is an awesome guy to speak with. He listens to you and doesn't blow you off if you aren't a professional racer, if that makes sense.

If I do the 418 combo in my car, Frankenstein ported TFS heads are what I'm doing... And I'd do it with a Solid Roller...

Yea the pricing I found was for customer supplied cores and it was like $1430 or something including BTR springs on their Facebook. So not too bad really. Of course considering you can sell 243/799 heads for about $4-500 normally, there's almost $2k you could have put towards better aftermarket castings.

I know this is several months old but I have a VERY similar setup to what you're looking at. I think your set up will hit exactly what you want. Here is my set up:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...0-results.html

I'm very happy with the BTR stage 2 cam. I think mine might be a little different on the exhaust though as it is .612 or .613 lift. Car makes great power and drives really nice.

Any cam surge? I'm thinking of moving from a 228R/112 cam to BTR stage 2 cam with BTR messaged trick flow heads and a matched fast 102.

Car needs to be wife friendly.

Nope no cam surge or bucking at all. A lot of that is in the tune but this is a very street friendly cam that also lays down some good numbers.
