Default Ls2 timing chain

Ok this is my first time installing a ls2 timing chain and both timing chain sprockets. My concern is that when I had to line up the dots for the timing to be correct was to easy. Everywhere I read it says it should give you some trouble before you get those two lined up. Here are my pics. Am I good to go?

Yes, It's not difficult to do by any means.

Why is there so much slack? Did you purchase this chain new? Are the sprockets still the ls1 originals?

Ok thank you. Yes i bought it new from a member here. Theyre actually ls2 sprockets. I've read about the slack and seems to be normal. I might buy the chain tensioner since my block has provisions for it.

Yes, the timing dots are lined up correctly. Make sure that you use red loctite on the cam bolts & torque to spec.

Thank you guys. I appreciate it. My block is a 1998 by the way. I will be looking for the brown tensioner.

I have the brown 88958607 damper that was on my 2001 ZO6 for a couple of years until #5 piston came apart and took out the cylinder wall. I now have a TSP 418 that uses the new style black damper.

I'll sell it to you for $75.00 plus shipping if you can't find one closer.
