Finding max RPM?
I now have my 5.3L installed, wired, and running. I am waiting for the swap headers to get here, but for now I am wondering how to determine how far I can rev the engine?
Like most people I lost the cam card almost first thing.
New lifers, and valve springs.
I think the rocker arms are still stock.
What other information is needed?
Update
I guess for now I'll just keep it at LT1 redline.

I did not find the cam card, but I did find the part number for it from Comp Cams 54-408-11 (XR259HR)
If any more information is needed or wanted please ask for it.

go to comps website and look up the specs on the cam .probably makes peak hp below 5500rpm ,no need to rev past 6000rpm.what valve springs did you use ? and did you shim the springs to meet the required spring pressure for those lobes ? what injectors are you using ? what injectors were used with the motor that ECM came from ?
I would hope the machine shop installed the springs correctly. I was not confident in assembling the engine, and I asked the machine shop to assemble the long block.
Not sure on the injectors, but I think they are 2010-2012 flex fuel injectors.
The ECM is a Megasquirt 3x v3.57
I know I always leave something out (different subject). I see this information is need just fine today, but yesterday I could not think of it at all.
The engine has flat top pistons, and CRS6100M3D rods.
