Default Cam selection with mods

Hi Guys:
I would like your opinion and advice in a cam selection for my 04 automatic corvette. These are the upgrades.

vararam ramair CAI with power duct coupler
ls6 intake with ported & polished throttle body
243 heads(heads and intake are UNPORTED OEM)
25%underdrive pulley
slp equal length headers with CATLESS dual 2.5 x- pipes and borla catback
3000 stall speed converter
3.73 differential
Im looking for mid range and top end power the vette is for cruising and street and strip. I was looking @ tsp tv2(232-234 578-598),Lunati cam 20540714(227-233 584-584) and a comps cam (230-234 592-598) all at 114 LSa. Which one will you recommend or other cam in mind. I do not want problems with vacuum or brakes I do not mind a 1000rpm idle also I need to use air conditioning when cruising. Any suggestions or advice?

With a 3k stall I'd go with the smallest of the three, but they all have fairly aggressive cam lobes. I recommend a cam with less aggressive lobes that has the potential to be more stable at high rpm levels while also being relatively easy on the rest of the valve train. Maybe a Comp Cams 54-428-11(228/230 112lsa+2, lift .571"/.573"), a Cam Motion LS2 Stage 3 (228/232 114lsa+4), or Cam Motion Titan IV (227/232 113lsa+4).

From all of those choices, Cam Motion Titan IV (227/232 113lsa+4) wins. Especially if you decide to port and mill the heads later. It'll like compression.

I'd also replace the stall with a 3600. It won't drive much different but will perform much better.

Red face cam selection

Excellent advice.I will go with 227-233 from lunati.I forgot to mention that I will a cam kit with double springs and titanium retainers, I talk to the guys a TSP and they suggested the TV2(232-234) I think this cam will have a rougher idle than 227-233, I also got advice from a friend who suggested a comp cam 224-230. what do you think guys.

Torquer 2 with 3600 or 4000 stall.

i would go with cam motion like jake said. the cams are ground on a much better 8620 core...comp makes lunati and they have had issues here and there

What he said.

The small increase in price is much better than having to replace the cam and lifters
