you can find a better cam in my opinion.

a cam that big isn't going to shine well being all clogged up by stock intake and manifolds

Yeah I understand that I'm in the works finding a ls6 intake and probably some cheap eBay headers I just want to make sure I don't have to flycut

I had a ms3 in my frc when I bought it. Ls6 intake, stock heads with prc springs, stock maniolds, stock cats,x pipe and catback and it made like 346rwhp with someones tune. Did a set of obx longtubes, made a 3'' x pipe and speed density tune with no maf in place. Cincyspeed tuned and it made 408rwhp.

If you are "completely" stock then you shouldn't even consider a cam change yet. At minimum you need some exhaust work. Even then you still have stock gears which will suck with those cams. You might wanna do a little more research first

I dunno why everyone flocks to these cams I still see these posts on here and facebook groups. Get a custom cam specd out or a btr cam or tick cam these are old school cams that will still work but there are better options available now. These two cams are max effort cams meaning you need the best **** to work a ls6 intake and ebay headers will choke the life out of it you need a fast intake and 1 7/8th headers a good converter and some gears. I wouldn't even waste my time with them if you are a six speed . Oh and the ms4 cam is complete garbage imo if you are dead set on one of these then go with the ms3 but don't get mad when you get beat by guys with smaller cams that are setup better. And no you won't need flycutting with either cam unless you have your heads milled.

The MS3 should clear stock heads and certain others, and the MS4 usually won't clear stock heads and may or may not with certain otheres. It depends on what heads are chosen, how much they've been milled, what gaskets are used, etc....

yes you will probably have to fly cut with a ms3 and milled heads to get the compression up where you need it.
