First determine what type of fluid it is. It's most likely oil and most likely the rear engine seal. Second possibility is transmission fluid, and that would probably be a leak around the front of the transmission.

Are you sure it is coming from between the engine and bellhousing? Leaked fluids get slung all over and the bottom of the bellhousing is a low point that can catch a lot of stuff that might have otherwise ended up on the ground.

There should be an inspection plate on the front/bottom of the bellhousing that you can remove to look inside.

Thanks man.. First thing I thought was the rear main seal, which sucks...... Ill try to get some pics of it once I can get it on a hoist and get a good look under it..

If it's clear it's more than likely clutch fluid from a leaking slave. Check the clutch reservoir

Sadly bad clutch slaves are very common and although cheap are a PITA to replace

I wasn't trying to be mean just pointing it out. Reading the whole post is important. I think that's how a lot of bad info gets spread around.

Just to add some info I've had bad valve cover gaskets leak enough to drop oil around the bell housing area. So be sure to check every where around the back of the engine for leaks.

If it was the clutch, you'd notice pretty quickly it wasn't working right.

Have you been needing to add oil?

How many miles on this car?

A steam line could have sprung a leak also.

I've also seen oil pressure sensor and valley cover leaks look like they are coming from the rear main.

Thats right! It's worth removing the intake to look before the engine.

Also take a look at the valve cover gaskets. I had the passengers side leaking at the rear corner and running down the back of the block. I had initially thought it was a rear main. Valve cover seal was hard as a rock.

Touché I usually grumble because people don't say what they have. I assumed as my mindset is if it's a man posting his car has a man pedal.
