Depends on which one's. I run 5206's in my race car to 7600rpm with no issue's.
Due to the noise ect I stay away from them on regular street cars.

I'm not 100% sure if they are the street or pro is there a way of telling?

will be daily driven with a small cam for now then a blower sometime next year hopefully.

If I were in your position, I'd call Morel.....give them the part number.....and get their recommendation on usage.

But hey.....I'm just funny that way .

Ever tried calling Morel? As a Corporation/Company it doesn't exist, its just a brand from one the few bigger companies that makes private label Hydraulic Lifters for a bunch of big name vendors, all selling pretty much the same thing.

I am reliably informed that the name Morel is one of the owners own names.

If it gives you any comfort at all, and I am no expert, but I am going with the Morel Tie-Bar Race pieces, on my $40K road race engine build because I know that they run up past 8,000 RPM with good lightweight gear on the valve side of the rocker arm fulcrum. Most people agree that you have to go stout on the lifter side of the rocker arm and thats what I am doing even though the the sum of the individual parts weight is up on less reliable parts.

Excellent post KW, and I totally agree with your advice about being diligent when you are buying something or seeking information prior to actually purchasing anything. Persistence is also a very good trait to possess because persistence can be Omnipotent.

The link to John Callies Incorporated not only explains the link to Ed Morel but gives you am insight into the men behind the brand. I found John Callies to be a fascinating man and well worth watching the 12 minute video on his latest project car.

Its also possible to dig out John phone number if you really want to talk to the man himself, as I found it disappointing that his dealers front line people know diddly squat about Morel's High RPM Hydraulic lifters as the ones I talked to were just phone order salesman, at least in my opinion and tried several of them.

At least I know the right part number to order now.

Thank's KW,

Mark.

the Morels link bar lifters are great...I use them in my engine
you will find that your valvetrain is a bit more noisy with them... this is normal
they are tight tolerance, so there isnt as much cushion as a stock rocker

also, they are more susceptible to problems with dirt, so you will need to change your oil more often

We use the link bar lifters in all of our LSx engines that we build to alleviate the cheap LSx lifter trays that have had issues in the past. They're a great way to go!

Give us a call if we can help.

Thanks!
