Default Rocker suggestions please

Had crane golds 3/8 stud mount. I liked them bc I'm a gen 1 sbc guy coming over to ls and they adjust like something I'm used to

Why do some like the pedestal mount?

I was leaning toward the comp cams pro magnum steel bodies

The lunati voodoo's look nice with the adjuster on the push rod cup like a jesel.

Thanks

If this is for a street setup; stick with the stock rockers. Time and time again the stock units with the trunnion upgrade have shown to be very sturdy, and also retaining their light weight.

Jesel are top notch if you want to spend over $1k.

I agree with the comp cams trunion upgrade. I've seen way more failures out of aftermarket rockers on street driving duty. It's easy to swap them out too.

Yes it's a street set up. My cam needs a 1.8 rocker or the stocks would be an option. Sorry forgot that info. I like the stock set ups but have heard that the non roller tips wear the vavle tips and start making the edges sharp.

Why does your cam need 1.8 ratio rockers? It would be cheaper to buy a new cam than it would be to buy a high end set of 1.8 ratio roller rockers. You may want to try forgetting everything you know about SBC's when working on a LS1, old school knowledge doesn't always transfer to newer stuff.

Running the trunion upgrade, no problems...

When I did the trunion upgrade the Comp Magnum Rockers were not available for LS motors, but it also looks like they only sell 1.8 ratio rockers. I think they would viable stock rocker replacement if you could get a 1.7 ratio that could be bolted down to stock rocker stands, otherwise I would stick to the stock steel bodied rocker with trunion upgrade. Though I do like the roller tip on those magnums.
