Hang in there you have come too far to get discouraged and quit. The finish line is in sight.

Stayed true to my word and pulled the trans out today. Dropped it at the shop to get a pump put in it.

Made hella progress today. We hauled the car to my buddies place, he has a lift. Got the trans in, torque arm mounted, crossover pipe and turbo mounted, tapped radiator for coolant crossover, down pipe on correctly, starter back in, intercooler back in.

Should be able to drive her home tomorrow.

She's alive and moving under her own power!

Minor things to work on....
  1. Leaky VBand Clamp
  2. Speedometer not working
  3. Faulty Temp Sensor
  4. Radiator brackets

After hitting it with a thermometer to verify all cylinders were firing, we hit a cold one... Turns out rocker came lose on Cylinder 7 exhaust side...

Had a shop timesert it (From what I was told). Went to torque it back down and this happened. So now we have to drop the motor back out the bottom and have someone repair it again. Figured that would be the quickest way and easiest way.

Here's to you CXRACING for a defective turbo. They will not warranty it or answer my calls anymore. I was running a scavenge pump on it as well.

*Update*

Pulled the messed up head off and slapped another one on there, money I didn't really want to spend, haha.

New turbo will be in tomorrow though.

Boy if you didn't have bad luck you wouldn't have any at all. Hopefully you used up all that bad luck.

100% agree with you, haha! We're going to be working on it again Wednesday night. Hoping to have it up and running by the weekend.

I'm kinda surprised that all those edges on the Pistons weren't radius dressed with a cartridge roll to reduce the possibility of detonation.......then again I'm sure you're gonna keep the boost moderate.......

Drove her home with 1st and 2nd gear. Could not manually shift to 3 or D for some reason. VSS/Speedometer is still not working, going to run new wires to it soon. Small oil leak at the filter, going to replace that and see if it clears up. Scavenge pump is working great, will be getting a Turbowerx pump soon, STS pump is quite old, haha.

Get the speedo working and hopefully that will fix your trans not shifting.

VSS Sensor works, pretty sure my tuner either loaded a Manual tune or one of the wires is broke.

I'm actually in the market for a TH400 and a 8.8 rear. I've been looking at Jakes TH400 and FTI's TH400. I'm liking the FTI TH400 Level 4.5.

Race prepped stock case, 900hp, full manual transbrake valve body, high flow pump, deep aluminum pan, heavy duty intermediate retainer, 4 clutch pack, 34 element sprag, aluminum direct drum, 300m input shaft

Anyone feel free to chime in on what you would choose.

Pretty sure you'll be making more than 900 ponies
I'd have a trans built to handle 12-1400 range for when you
Turn the volume up on that bitch

It says 900 but I called and it'll handle 1100 per their site. Lucky for me they're about an hour and half south of me. So I may just go that route and pick it up on my own.

Any ideas on a converter?
