Kip knows your setup. He can make sure you have the right valve springs for the RPM range.

I've run 1208x's on the last 2 sets of LS7 heads I've had. This cam isn't overtly big, 235/251 .657/.660; but my last cam Spec'd by Martin was a 251/267 .701/.670 (Super stock/HUC) and they controlled everything well. Cost is the same, it should just allow you more control. 1205x's or 1206x's would be plenty for your setup is think.

Crower stainless steel shaft rockers and PAC 1207x or 1208x would get my vote on the tight lash deal.

Should easily control a small solid roller cam to 7000rpm.

Yeah I was just asking about them here recently... It's going to be either those or the T&D's as that's what Mast likes to run on theirs.

From what I've seen about 200 bucks. Anywhere from 1200-1400 LIST price... I think even if I went hydraulic I'd like to run a good rocker this go round.

I agree. A very safe option. Great valvetrain stability.

Well, Jesel doesn't make a Sportsman series for the Mast heads, so they'd have to be the Mohawks. The T&Ds I'd need are part number 2353.

Decisions decisions... Tougher than I thought. M

On the bright side, at least my wife is fully onboard with the sentiment of "build it once, build it right; buy once, cry once"

You got a damn good wife Dave. My wife gives me dirty looks every time she hears me talk about my car, or sees it sitting in the garage.

The Crower rockers are a very nice piece. We run them a lot on our engines we build and with customers we sell parts to.

Taking the Crower's out of the equation simply for THIS question:

Between the T&D's and the Jesel Mohawks, which do you prefer, and why?

I've read of Jesel failures, even recently, but not on the T&D's. Mast prefers T&D. The T&D's do seem rathr beefy though, and of course I worry about weight and valve float.

PR's will be at a minimum 3/8" and as stated, I do have the upgraded hollow lighter intake valves, and the Titanium retainers.

Just wanting to see who has what opinions / experiences on the two aformentioned shaft rockers. I believe T&D has pressurized oiling t the needle tips as well...

Yeah I know... Kinda figured that. Was wanting to see some "real world" experiences though.

Dang it man. I've been wanting the LS3 Mast heads, and I decided against them, but you're making me rethink that. Tempted to swap out my Cam motion hydraulic for a solid roller. Kip is pretty convincing.

Lol. Yeah, the more I think about it the more inclined I am to go with the T&Ds and a low lash solid roller.

Just wanting to see some opinions on the rockers. The Mohawks are pretty, I'll give them that...

I'd choose the T&D's as I've had customer have some Jesel's fail as well, but we're talking 1500-2500hp applications and not a street car with a 347 c.i. N/A engine.

Crower also has a needle bearing tip option as well that is really nice.

Those Crowers are still on the radar. T&D "says" they fit stock valve covers with the baffle removed... I haven't test fit a set to see.

I guess I could always run a spacer or aftermarket with truck wires if needed. I really do NOT want to run a coil relocation kit.
