Why would you be considering the GTO pan in an f-body?

If you want to worry about it there are upgraded pan internals from some vendors to improve windage and cornering oil control in the f-body pan.

I don't think any other stock pan fits an fbody chassis. If you want better oil control look into an Improved Racing pan baffle for the stock pan. It will control the oil movement during acceleration and cornering keeping your motor from starving. And generally most people run 1/2 to 1 quart over filled since the pan can hold it but gets pumped down quick at higher rpm.

I hate the tiny twisted passages the oil needs to take in the oil pan through the filter boss.

Get a Moroso pan that takes the lines & filter out of the pan and run a larger external filter.

Isn't that pan and filter setup like $750+?

And not that it matters for NA but compromises block strength by not being the structural member the stock pans are.

Looking at pics of the GTO pan it is nothing like the f-body, I would say no chance of it fitting.
Still curious what the OP thought the point of it would be.

The only factory pan that will fit the stock chassis is the F-Body pan.

The only other option I'd recommend is the Holley front clearance swap pan, along with our baffle, which is similar to the F-Body pan. It does have slightly higher oil capacity too. http://www.improvedracing.com/baffle...pan-p-443.html

The Holley front sump pan fits without modification in the F-body. Do you need one? Not really, just adding our baffle to the factory oil pan will achieve similar results.

You may want to also consider our crank scraper (EGM-300) as that also helps reduce oil starvation and customers have been gaining as much as 9 RWHP with it.
