Looking for some input here...I have a set of stock ls1 heads that I want to use on my 5.3 with the stock dished pistons. I know this will work but I have read this will lower compression. My thought is that I would mill the heads .025-.030 and use a thin head gasket to bring it back up. Would I be better off just getting a pair of 5.3 heads?

Not knowing what finances you wanna invest here, but our venders have some pretty nice head packages for the 5.3 engine. You'll need a cam to match those better heads.

Its a budget 5.3 so Im trying to use what I already have, in saying that has anyone ever ran a setup like this that has numbers to go with it?
