New Top End Build
I'm starting to put together a list of supporting parts that I may need while I wait for the cylinder heads to arrive, and I'd like to hear some input on this build.
I've ordered some of Tony Mamo's new 220s with a custom cam grind. YT Ultra Lite rollers, and whatever size pushrods. As for lifters, Im on the fence about the LS7's if they would work fine, or if I need to go for aftermarket ones.
For induction I'm looking at getting the Fast 102/102 combo, but I was reading that the 92 works better because of the velocity, hard to say, since I read it on the internet
. I'd like to keep a MAF on it and not run SD, so I'm leaning towards the 85mm.
The injectors are stock 28lbs and I have a good feeling that this build will push them beyond their limits. Maybe go with 36 or 42lbs, and hopefully the fuel pump is up for the task.
It currently has Mac Mid-length headers with high flow cats, to a cut-out. I'm going to keep the exhaust for now, but will look into better manifolds in the future.
Feel free to tell me your thoughts and opinions, I am all ears. Thanks!

Definitely going to need injectors. 36lb should be ok, but to be safe get some 42s.
Definitely get the morel 5315 lifter if not nothing better. I hate to see guys put a great combo together the a LS7 lifter eat a lobe off the cam.....
Also talk to Tony about the intake and injectors.... he'll guide you on the right track.

Just let me steer you into the right parts....if you truly want to get the most from these heads (and I assume you do), let me help you with all the right supporting mods to let them really work for you. The largest part of the financial pain (and most important choice you will make concerning power output) is behind you, but getting the rest of the package correct is just as important or some of the heads potential will never be fully realized.
I may call you this week so we can get a game plan together. Even if it takes longer to finally get the install going, having the right parts and ending up with a really efficient well working combination when the smoke clears is well worth it and its just smart to approach it in that fashion. Any heads cam project (even "budget" stuff) goes over budget all the time and is a huge endeavor from the planning stage till the time you finally roll it off the dyno and your staring at the dyno sheet before your first hotly anticipated drive. The more planning and better the overall combination is the more satisfying that future day will become.
I will be in touch!
Cheers,
Tony
