Hello everybody thanks in advance for your help. I have a 2001 Camaro z28 stock and I want the best bang for the buck bolt-on parts. This car is my DD I just want to give it a little kick to it. I was thinking about going with a Tick performance polluter cam kit. I already have a SLP lid that's about it. What are you thoughts with the stock bottom end? and so other supporting mods I can do? Please put positive feedback on here thanks again.

Hes got it right ^^^^
And a fast 92 would do you right. Id suggest american racing headers for best bolt on exhaust gains. My friends gto picked up about 30 plus hp just from their headers connected to an slp lm2 setup

Hello, the O.E. bottom is good to a point. (condition dependent) goal dependent
I would not do a cam only on a LS car when there is so much left on the table bang for the dollar.
Typically guys go with a cam to make big power and it sacrifices too much drive ability.
We would start out with a quality cold air and tune package. This will give you great bang for the $
The next step would be to attack the front to back exhaust.
If funds/time allow we would recommend a cam, head and header package to retain drive ability and big performance gains.

This isn't a Camaro but a 2001 F-body with tasteful mods. A larger camshaft like our stage 2 would net approx another 15-20whp

Would not recommend going with a cam until you have done this first and still want more power. The first step to an LS1 is always "let her breathe". Cams behave very differently with stock exhaust manifolds vs headers. Many times, people will overcam an otherwise stock LS1 only to have less power than a smaller cam done right.

There is a great sticky in the newbie section called "So you wanna go faster". It really ought to be required reading. I still read it from time to time, and I've been lurking here long before I joined.
