Its hard to say what might be a good cam to go with those heads. Atleast upgrade the vavles, and maybe have them ported if you can, and alot of cams will work good with them. Quite a few guys run ported 5.3L heads and put down some good numbers
dont bother installing stock 5.3's. they have a smaller intake vavle. you'll need them ported and outfitted with bigger vavles 2.02/1.57 is what most people go with to make them worth while. i'd keep the heads and use them as a core and pick up some ported heads from a sponsor. then when you know what they flow, you can go cam hunting.

stock 5.7 heads are 2.00 int / 1.55 exh ~67cc and flow ~226
as you can see the only advance stock that the 5.3 has is its low CC for added compression. if you want to make the swap worth anything you'll want them ported and outfitted with larger valves as i already stated. that way you have great flow and raised compression all without milling. heads with a stock cam wont add much in itself. once you know your head flow you can then use that to pick an appropriate cam for your application. a good h/c can add 60-70rwhp.
