Help removing a broken harmonic balancer
I just had the complete outter round section brake clean off of the center part of the balancer that fits onto the crankshaft snout.Does anyone have any ideas how to remove the part that is pressed onto the crank???? I am guessing its cast iron so welding something onto it is out??!!

No worries. Break your bolt loose and remove. Use a old shallow socket and a three jaw puller. Make sure to use a large enough socket to place the stress on the stronger portion of the crank. Give it 3 minutes of cranking and you'll be home free. Quit worrying..

i would try a bearing separator and a std steering wheel puller to bolt to the separator

if that did not work (which it should i would grind the front smooth with what is under the bolt surface drill and tap a 1/4" bolt hole on either side.

It's hard to tell from my phone (small picture on the small screen), but if there's enough clearance in there you could try just striking the remains carefully to see if you can get it to split.
Just a thought.
But the bearing puller seems like the safest route right now.
