best head /cam combo for ls1 street car
Looking into putting a head/ cam on my 99 formula 6 speed . Already has headers y pipe and slp air lid . The car gets driven quite a bit so I'm looking for something practical but at the same time sounds mean and makes decent power at a decent price . I'd appreciate the input thanks!!

For cheap an effective I'd look at a Cam Motion and a Titan4 grind:

then maybe a High Compression 241 head from AI:

I'm a bit bias because I use Tick Performance. I'd call them and talk to Martin Smallwood about your goals for the car. Personally I have their sns torquemax stage 3 and eventually I'm getting Trick Flow as cast 220 to go with it as well as a intake that's better than my ls6 intake. That combo should be good for high 10's to very low 11's on motor. Then I plan on a 200-300 shot of nitrous. Just my .02

I'm waiting on heads and cam with sundry other pieces from Tony Mamo for my Stock LS1. I'll have over $5000.00 in it before I'm done. It will still be streetable but it should make good power when finished! Spent more than I should have but the car is paid for and it's on my bucket list!!!
