I would be much more interested in this cam if the lift was smaller as you listed (valve spring life). TSP is building a 347 for me right now that I still need a cam for.

Yeah I was reading the 10k in some old threads, I'm sure things have gotten better.. I was reading more on this V4 and sounds like it has less agressive lobes so it may outlast the ms3 as far as valvespring life, but I'm curious if it performs better or not. You should have them throw it in your new build so we can get some dyno numbers and track times. Sounds like it's less of a revver and has more torque down low. I may have to reach out to TSP and see what they say since not many people have it yet. Maybe they would have more input on valvespring life also.

The more I look at that dyno graph the more it makes me think it would be perfect for the shift extension on an ss4000

We've updated these camshafts to feature new proprietary lobe profiles and are cutting them on Callies cores!

You get Callies quality with new more stable lobes and quieter valvetrain noise!

Thanks for that info! What kind of spring life could be expected with this style lobe?? Would you expect any longer life with the .675 vs .650 springs with this cam?

Being that the lobes are more stable I would run our PRC .650 spring kit with that cam.

If the valves were not sunk like how we do our valve jobs then I would not run it on stock pistons with any more than a.020 mill using stock valves and .015 using larger 2.02 valves.

Being milled .030 will limit the cam choices quite a bit. Give us a call at 512-863-0900 and we would be happy to go over your combination and goals and get you into a camshaft that will work best for you.

Have a question about the v4, going to put one in one with a fresh set of milled 243, heads were milled .010 factory head gasket, 7.4 push rods, prc 650 springs, just trying to figure out if you had any ptv clearance problems

Just installed a V4 in a friends car. It had 243 heads milled .020 so you will be fine. When i checked preload i ended up with a 7.350 pushrod. You should be using a 7.375 or 7.350 for your set up. Check preload before you run the 7.400

Next i will say i have been in the LS game longer than i care to remember, and have always bought from TSP. Their new cams are the best looking LS cams I have ever seen. Put these next to a comp or cam motion and you have no problem telling who makes the best cam. The degreeing was also spot on, never been closer than 3/4 to 1 degree with comp.

You will be just fine with a stock gasket and .010 off that head. Nothing to worry about at all

Thanks man we really appreciate the kind words. That's one of the biggest reasons we started making cams to begin with. We looked at all the cam offerings out there and just weren't happy. Most cams aren't accurate and people just don't know.

Do you have a clip, have the EXACT same setup with a streetsweeper HT waiting to go in.

This is biggest horse post ive seen in a while. Give us PTV numbers, if you have them which you probably dont. Tell us exactly whats different about the cam brands you listed, actual facts, or dont bring them up. The problem is, to the average reader you sound intelligent, when youve actually given us crap. I have no doubt in my mind the v4 is better then the v3, and I liked the v3, cause I know tsp doesnt turn out junk, and I'm confident they improved on something that was already very good. But come on, state facts if youre gonna make a post like this.

I am sure Texas Speed appreciates your loyalty. Nothing wrong with that. But I am here to say that I have seen no higher quality LS camshaft than Cam Motion LS cams and I think I have seen them all.

Remember, we were the one that brought quality and better stable lobe designs to the LS market. We are the ones who give you your choice of 3 different steel alloy cam cores. We are the ones who polish every single camshaft that we grind. We are the ones who can give you the exact lift and duration that you want. No choosing from a limited list of lobes from us. We are the ones who can design your exact desired lobe, grind the cam on your choice of cam core, polish it, box and get it to you within the week. We are the ones who cams are in everything from the defending NHRA Top Fuel World Champion's dragster to the 2015 LSX Real Street Champion. We are the ones who have with multiple NHRA Pro-Stock champions, Off-shore boat champions, Pro-Stock motorcycle world champions and many more. We were the one who raised the bar on LS camshafts. And, we are going to keep on raising the bar too.

We know who is who in camshaft manufacturing. And we know what quality looks like:
