Default Need opinion on a Cam

Hey everyone so I have a brand new cam that I got from my brother and here are the specs: 230/234 .600/.602 111 LSA

I think it's from comp cam but its custom grind. I am building up my engine right now and have all the mods like headers, intake etc. Got dual valve springs and pushrods too.

I do want to have a street car, that would occasionally see track time, so was wondering if that cam would be bad for daily driving? It's a M6

What are your input on the cam and daily driving?

Thanks

PS: Car is a RX7 getting swapped with a LS1/T56

That's a pretty mean cam. XE-R lobes and 10* overlap. Use good dual springs. That light chassis can get by with less torque but even with a great tune your still going to have some low rpm bucking.

Aah I guess I'll have to make sure they tune it right.

Going with these springs

I really wanted to get a street cam like the 228r but can't really say no to free new cam lol

The cam I want is a 223/229 112+1 2* overlap this week
I change my mind from week to week though. Those springs will be up to the task. Don't buy pushrods until you measure, don't guess.

Well said! Checking pushrod length is important!

That camshaft will work well I think. If you decide you need help tuning that thing shoot us a call! We mail order retrofit guys combos all the time.

Quite a few people on here running a 230/234 size cam with good results. Make sure you get a good tune.

I haven't bought the pushrods yet, I did buy the pushrod length checker so I can get the exact length I need. Thanks Jason I'll contact you if I need to but I thought since it's a bigger cam I'll need to go to a tuner here.

What are you guys take on the lifters? I am planning on changing the lifters to LS7 since the engines already got 80,000 on it and someone recommended it. Do you think Ls7 lifters would be enough for this cam size?

Thanks
