You could come back with some "snappy" derogatory remark, and well, so be it. Or you can prove to the world that your numbers are what you say they are.

I know, all the excuses, but the dyno is open. We will pull rageman's car off the dyno and give you priority.

See you tomorrow.

Your up kinda late, could'nt sleep last night? Sunday is our day off and is the reason why I'm not responding until 2pm. I would love to come on over TODAY RIGHT THIS SECOND , but unfortunatly Matt drove his car home last night, as he does every night, BECAUSE ITS HIS DAILY DRIVER that he puts over 100 miles on everyday. He lives in Frisco and drives to Royse city everyday, do the math for yourself. I would love a independant show down, it's gonna happen either way as this cam gets out there people are gonna test it.

Andy, you are right this cam is not for the faint of heart. It's big and acts accordingly. P to V clearance with even slight milling MUST be checked. I would say it needs to be checked in every instance, I know I will when I install it on any vehicle. I have another cam here waiting to be tested that fits into the emmisions friendly daily driver catagory, and I will release it when we are done testing it. The same cam grinder designed both of these cams, He is the real genius here not me. Either way it goes, this cam will not make the same numbers as the M2, and nobody will care what the latest "grandpa" cam made. This cam is for the "all out" enthusiast, it makes big power but sacrafices in other areas. You and I both know that cams that make big power attract attention, once I have the customers attention I can make a suggestion as to what the best piece for his application may be.

Unlike Lou, I don't tell my head porter, or cam grinder, or machinist how to do his job. The term "my" is only used because I have enlisted THIER talent as a means to an end, not because they are on my payroll. I'm not a genius, I assemble the best parts from all of the best people and get excellent results. You know how the saying goes, "a jack of all trades, is a master of none."

BTW the "back to back" testing has already been done. SAME dyno, SAME day(within 10 minutes), with my set up at a great disadvantage and my cam came out on top by a large margin. I will not post the dyno graphs without the owners (of the car) consent. It will all come out in the wash anyway. I have Lou's number and he knows it. That being said I think somebodys cam needs a revision, BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD OLD CHAP!!!!!

Props to Lou at least for stepping up to the plate. This seems like the ONLY real way to see which cam works best on a stock engine. It will be interesting to see who else is willing to step up to the plate and put their cam on the line.

Looks to me like LG met the challenge before it was issued, and came out with a little more torque, too.

Like I said, I am not trying to start any more trouble here and I am not attempting to hijack a thread; a challenge was issued (by the starter of this thread), and this post (IMO) is pertinent to that challenge.

Another one of those 5 or 6 pages posts, with people bashing each other and basicly calling each other liars...

LG lost my respect along time ago in other post, and refusing to offer numbers at that time.

As far as the other person, lets see some dyno numbers (independent)......

Other than that, looking forward to the rest of this saga...

I don't recall you being a sponsor Sean.

Because MMT is not a sponsor, this one goes away, as for the rest of the comments in this thread nothing like a bunch of folks with nothing to do and a computer.

Lou worked with Comp and developed the XER lobe himself (what 2 years ago?) with his engine builders. It was Comp who released it for all to use. Lou is developing a new lobe and it won't be Comp grinding it and releasing it for all to use.

What is missing in all the debate is this. No one has passed an emissions test at this time with anyone of these new large duration cams. Anyone can use a bigger cam and make more power. That is not even a challenge. That is fine for a strictly race application. Most members however drive these cars daily and they must be streetable and must be able to pass emissions. How about a real test? Who can make the most power without compromising driveability and emissions? No dyno tricks, through a full exhaust including cats. Now that is a real challenge.
From a marketing standpoint, I can assure you the market for such a combination is many times larger than for the very few folks who don't give a hoot about driveability or being emissions legal. Good luck.

i sure wish someone who works at comp cams would speak up.cause i know damn well lou didnt create the xer lobe, comp did, and told lou, hey ive got a few new lobe designs, would you be interested in trying them?it wasnt, hey this mr.lg,ive designed this new lobe, completley on my own, would you make a cam useing my #s,and lobe design?if this was the case mr.lou needs to own a cam companey.all this is called r&d,by everyone, not just mr.lg.hell if thats the case mr.lg stole gms cam design and added a few degress of lift and duration.and he stole gms head design too.and paid someone else to make it better.and he stole gms suspension, and paid someone to make it better and stronger.lou, youre cars still have torque arms right?are did you CREATE those too.give it a rest.all this time you spend calling everyone copycats you could be building better and badder things.cause in the drag world you havnt proven much of anything.rageman is youre only good example but his car was already fast.he picked up 4tenths,most GOOD cams are capable of that.dyno #S dont mean to much when were compareing 5-15rwhp.if you dont beleive me,why dont you talk to stock eleminator guys.i know of MANY who have had the same results, cam swaps, jet changes, etc.have all made better dyno #s,but when they return to the track, theve lost 2-3ths,why??because the dyno CANNOT duplicate the track conditions.and one more thing, did lou invent the ls1 too.if he didnt,he shouldnt be trying to make it better, cause someone else designed it too.thats stealing someones idea and trying to better it.CHEATER,wwwhhhhhhaaaaaaaa
