So, here's the MSD installation. Anyone who has read all the fitment horror stories - I had none. It just dropped right in. I found it easier to get my hands back there and work vs the fast. You gotta take it apart to drill out the hole for the map sensor and then reassemble it. No big deal, just gotta do it.

Here's some **** for your next happy time alone.

Basically, I tried to get pictures through the runners so you can see there's direct line of sight from valve to plenum. There are trumpets on the ends of the runners for max air velocity. There are three map locations you can use, but you gotta drill the one you want. No clearance issues between TB and meziere. The throttle is angled up about ten degrees.

Only issue was the lack of a throttle cable bracket which is sold separately. In my mind that's a bit weak. But it's the only complaint I had. Would have been driven today if I coulda hooked up the throttle.

Anyway, enjoy. The entire swap took four hours and forty minutes and I was taking my sweet time. Not even a hint of hurrying.

The red **** is a camera artifact. I never noticed in until you said something.

The slightly crack-looking thing as actually just a seam in the plastic. The flash made it really stand out, but you can hardly feel it. That hole is the injector port (the intake was upside down).

It's kind of weird, because it's a hole drilled into an angled surface, but when you see it in person and feel it, it makes sense what it is.

Its definitely NOT cracked. I ran the car on the new intake for a good 30 minutes to check idle air from cold to hot on a start up. Idled too steady to be a vacuum leak.

Edit - attached video is first start up on ported MSD. No tuning performed. Idled quite nicely. This was still quite cold. had only been running a minute, in 50 degree weather on SD tune. With IAT sensor disconnected, because the airbox was disconnected.

I'm glad it was rather painless, but man is that thing ugly lol. If it does make more power that's all that matters tho! And it looks like Toby would had drilled the intake for the map sensor when he had it apart. So all you would have to do is bolt it on.

Okay. That new pics makes it better darth. I agree that intake is not the best looking one there is but the power curve will improve with it. Now it's time to see the updated numbers.

Thanks A A Ron! I'm extremely curious your build's numbers. NA motor, not the hotter sexier blown motor.

Drilling the map hole was no big deal. It has three places to drill, and Tony likely didn't know if I was thinking to move the MAP sensor. And yeah, Power>aesthetics. I was really only miffed by the lack of the cable bracket - which MSD sells separately, which is weak IMO. Cause I'd have already got some logs on it and known if the tune was gonna shift any, but I don't. Should get the bracket today

I'm hoping to get the numbers Friday. I've been in contact with the operator, and he's been saying all good. I'm just waiting to hear back on my Thursday/Friday request. I'll just baseline, unless the AFR moves on me, and we have to tweak the VE tables

No, I'm planning it to last. If I do end up losing the short block, I'll grab a LS2 bottom end and bolt everything right back up. But every time I've had the heads off, it's been fine on the inside.

Been playing tag with the dyno. Thought I was in Friday, but didn't work out cause their morning tune ran long and afternoon guy showed up. Same today. I'll keep trying.

They offered to get it done if I leave it but it's my DD so I can't.
