Default Yella Terra 1.85 valve cover and pushrod contact

Hey guys so I picked up these YT's pretty cheap for my setup. Guy said a couple made valve cover contact for a little which shouldnt be a big deal. I'm not really worried about it because none of the dings go very far into the aluminum but still wondering what you all think. Car is going to have the stock cam in it just larger pushrods and better springs for the rockers so nothing crazy going on.

These are 2 different rocker assemblies. The one looks like it made friends with the vc causing the top nicks. While th other almost looks like the pushrod length got messed up and came out of the cup?

Both are just surface stuff neither nick goes deep into the metal. I dont think I have a good reason to NOT run them as I see people but these on all the time, relaize they hit, readjust and go again lol rockers have about 12k on them as they sit

I wouldn't run those. The PR cups are notorious for coming out on the older yells Terra's. No way I would trust those.

That one is really chewed up. I wouldn't run those, either.

I wouldn't run. Like I said in my text, that looks like ****.

The issue is once you break the surface like that, you create a stress point.

Did he disclose the defect before you bought them?

the contact on the top of the valve cover i knew about but honestly thats not that bad and lots of rockers get that from a bad install and are fine. the pushrod i did not know about and thats what worried me since thats a really high stress area.

I may have them in stock.....PM me for details

I wouldn't want them purely cause the truth about them wasn't disclosed (conveniently).....that kind of stuff just really rubs me the wrong way.

Is it the top view photo, or is one of the rockers an offset (not LS1) rocker. Maybe it is just my old eyes too!

I wouldn't worry about it a whole lot. I would take a cookie and polish out the damage and if there was no cracks it should be fine.
