Default to anyone using a 112Lsa on a A4

I've asked many post about different cam set-up and have got many great posts..
I want to hear from someone that is using a 112LSA with a A4.
curious to see if idle is a problem (stock convertor/corvette)
car will be tuned
any regrets with the 112lsa

Brian

I have the 112LSA in my M6 hawk. this may not help, but for the most part it idles fine. gets to surging up and down every now and then but its not bad. ive only had it in for about 2 weeks now, but I love it so far. like I said this may not help you out being and M6 but just thought I would let you know anyway.

I run a cam with 112 and have an A4 with a 3600 stall. It's o.k. as long as the converter is not lock up. If it happens to lock up early, the car surges alot (30 mph). I love my cam though.

no if you ran that cam with a stock convertor i think the car would have problems leaving the line i don't think idleing would be a issue.

The hotcam i have has about the most choppy idle of almost all cams. The LSA is 112, duration is 218/228 and lift is .525 int and ext. I tuned it with edit and it works fine for the most part. No troubles with surging really, but starts after the car is turned off for approx. 5-15min require slight touch to throttle to keep started for about 5 seconds after start-up. Other than that, i love it and the choppy idle is what i wanted. Hope this helps. James

My C5 A4 idles like a champ with my new MTI S1 cam with specs. of 244/244, .612 lift and 112lsa. But then again, the 427 cubic inches i'm running would probably help that out a bit!

Seriously, as long as you like that good old american muscle car sound and rumble with a bit of choppy idle, you are good to go as long as you have proper professional tuning.

GO FOR IT!
