Default Help...no oil.

My car is a 56k mile 2001 Z28. The mods are G5X3 cam, stall, and tune with no cats or mufflers. I have noticed when I start it up and let it idle in the garage, there is a little bit of black splatter on the garage floor from the left side exhaust tip. Yesterday, I was out for a drive and the Low Oil light came on. I checked the dipstick and there is no oil left in the engine. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Unfortunately not without seeing underneath the car, it could be a few small things or something as severe as there being no filter lol

Put oil in engine. Check for leaks.

If it helps, the only spots on the garage floor are from the left exhaust tip. I haven't got to look it over very good underneath, but the quick glance I did give it, the bottom of the engine is clean. The car doesn't smoke any, either.

Welcome to LS1tech!

A by-product of combustion is water. This is what you see on the garage floor under the exhaust tip.

I suggest you do a simple oil change, using a good oil filter and oil. Once a week check the dipstick to keep an eye on the level.

A good rule of thumb is check the dipstick every time you get gas.

If your oil is disappearing quickly you'll need to investigate why.

Default Help...no oil.

It could be losing oil while you drive it, so you don't see any puddles on your garage floor...

have you noticed any smoke from the exhaust (do spark plugs show signs of oil fouling)...?

does PCV plumbing show signs of oil inside (is there a pool of oil on floor of intake manifold)...?

have you looked underneath to see if there are signs of oil leaking out (do you see any oil trails on you street going away from your driveway)...?

do you see any signs of engine oil in your coolant...?

Did you change you oil yourself or someone else? IF it isn't smoking and it isn't leaking in 400 miles i doubt you would just lose that much oil.

I'll check the plugs when I get a chance and report back. There is a black stain on the garage floor from the tailpipe, but it doesn't have a slippery residue feel to it.

Black stain on your floor is water (condensation) mixing with carbon in your tailpipe as said above.
