minimum for refresh - what to reuse/not reuse
This will include new bearings, rod & mains, Maybe cam bearings once I look at them. But usually not bad. New lifters (it's a given on LS's) & rings and deglaze the walls with a green scotch brite pad. I've seen LS engines with 400,000+ miles and still have nice cross-hatching. And of course new gaskets and seals, front to back, top to bottom.
The heads will also get cleaned up, possibly a full valve job with new bronze liners.
This will all turn a nice penny to some old guy looking for a LS1 to throw in his old hotrod.
