Default Help

Ok, just from reading through the posts the last couple of days, the seems to be alot of choices for cams. I really want to put one in my car, but I need help deciding which will be the best. The car for now is a daily driver. I will not be making a head change, just the cam, and mabey a little juice down the road. Which cam do you guys think will work best with my set-up. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I'd say do a search on all the different cams and maybe that will help you. do you have to pass emissions? If not I have a TR224 .563 112lsa for sale right now that made 387rwhp in my setup, that would make a great daily driver cam. I am also considering selling my current cam (fm13 which made 400rwhp with mods in sig) to go to something bigger since my car is no longer a daily driver.

fm13= 230.7/232.3 .595/.585 112lsa peaks at @ 6300rpm. maybe 2k miles on the fm13.
I'd sell it for $300.

rev limiter is at 6800rpm.
www.ls1howto.com look uder f-body cam and valvespring swap.
You'll need a good set of double springs, like the Patriots.

I know that I am asking alot of questions, but who makes this cam? I appreciate your help with this. How does this cam compare to the G5x2 or G5x3 cams? Like I said, I am trying to learn as much as I can so that I can choose the best cam for me. Does the FM13 give you any problems on the street?

cam is made by Futral Motorsports, a sponsor of this forum------->
this cam is a good bit smaller, from what I have read, than the G5X3 cams, but still puts out some nice #'s Only problem on the street is that I can't seem to get a race with the rice and rustangs when they hear my car
