Default Head questions

So I have a 99 camaro with a m6 and torquer v3 cam and am looking to buy heads for a winter project I have been looking at the Texas speed 2.5 5.3 and the Texas speed as cast 225 heads and was recommended to mill 0.02 by the person I called at Texas speed to give me a 11.1 compression ratio was wondering if anyone had some input on this? Also there is Bosch and racetronixs 42# Injectors for about the same price was not sure which brand would be better

They just raised the price in the last couple days I called them today and that's when he mentioned the 225 heads @ $250 more than 5.3 heads he said I'd gain about 10rwhp over the 5.3 heads I wish I could see the 2 in a car to make a decision.
What kind of numbers you putting down?

For $250 more I'd say go for it. Haven't had my car on an honest dyno since the new tune and Fast intake, but by the way it performs I'm sure it's around 450-460 rwhp

What lifters you rrunning? Planning on ls7 lifters if I don't find anything better for the price but at the same time I want to do it once right

I run LS7 lifters. They work just fine for me. So TSP recommended you have the 225's milled? If so is that part of the $250 extra over the 5.3 heads?

No the milling is free with the heads it would be free if I got the 2.5 heads as well. The as cast 225 are just $250 more than 5.3 heads the 5.3 heads are $1550 and 225 heads are $1800

With the laid over valve angle, increased flow numbers across the board, and the stronger aftermarket casting I feel like the 225 As Cast heads are an easy choice compared to the stock ported 5.3s. The aftermarket 225s offer the ability to increase compression more than the 5.3s due the increased piston to valve clearance that come along with the design of that particular cylinder head, and laid over valve.

Thanks

Wow I didn't realize the 5.3 heads were $1550 now. Just a few years ago they were like $1100 or $1200
