Default 228r 110lsa vs 233/239

Yet another which is better. Ive got a 2001 z28 a4 with bolt ons and some 243heads going with the cam. The car is a weekender and just wondering if there is a big power difference in these cams. And if the 233/239 can be put on a 110lsa. Also wondering the rpm powerband of each. Not really gonna be hitting the track. Maybe twice a year. Thanks

10rwhp is accurate. The 233/239 cam will rev out an extra 200rpms at peak vs peak. We can grind that on a 110° LSA no problem for you if you wish. Both of course would require a stall converter.

Im running the 233/239 in my auto with 4000 stall and its perfect. Its about the biggest i would run in a daily driver.

My buddy just installed the 233/239 with a yank 4000 stall and said it drives perfectly fine.

I would go 233/239 for sure. It comes down to how well its tuned.

The 228R is on XER lobes, which are stupid aggressive. I'm not sure what lobes the 233/239 is on, but I would make sure to find lobes with good ramp rates so your valvetrain isn't getting beat like 4 year old in K-Mart.

So would that bring the power on quicker if it was on a 110lsa and would that be to difficult to put a good tune on?? The 233/239

The tighter the LSA the quicker it will bring in the power, and no it should be no problem to tune by a competent tuner
