Default Comp Cams ls1

Hello guys, I'm trying to see what Comp cam will suit my needs. Right now the motor is stock, plan on boosting it soon and while the motor is out, I would like to upgrade the cams, push rods and lifters if needed? I was told to get dual valve springs which makes sense. I'm not looking for crazy power, or a rough idle. Just a little performance as well as a nice sound. However, the car isn't a daily driver, but i would like it to be streetable when needed. Some say LS6 cams would work as well.

Also, coming from the Import side, all this is new too me and still a learning process. I would rather do all thats required now that the motor is out the car. So any/all info is well appreciated.

Pass on the Comp stuff, look to the right & click on the Cam Motion logo.
If you go with a mild profile you'll be fine with PAC or PSI beehives.

After dealing personally with nearly half a dozen failed Comp Cams I wouldn't run one in my lawnmower.

Now running Cam Motion cams in my car and my truck and will be running them in any future build.

They have better cores and smoother lobes for quieter operation. Pretty sure alot (if not all) BTR stuff is done on Cammotion cores/lobes anyway.

Not all of them. At least, not yet I don't think. Make sure you ask for a Cam Motion manufactured cam when you place your order.

If you are looking for a valve train friendly cam we grind our own cams in house and use our own lobes. We also grind our cams using Callies cores. Give us a call and we can get you lined out.

Thanks guys, I had initially called you guys the first day of my adventure, but money is getting tight considering I still need to get turbo stuff. I ended up with a GTP cam and BTR valvetrain and other parts from Comp. Going to see how this combo works out. However, when I start building another motor at the end of the year, I'll make sure to hit you guys up. Going to make a build thread soon. Ls1 into a Honda S2000. Trying to get it running N/A by Thanksgiving so I can make it to the Turkey Rod Run. Then under the knife again for boosting.
