Default Some cam input wanted please

First off my set up:
1998 Z28 A4 Camaro
Circle D 2600-3200 Converter
3.73 Gears
1 3/4 Longtubes
3'' Duals with X-Pipe and dumps
Stock 243 Heads
Ls6 Intake
Lid

The car is a daily driver so I am curious as to if anyone has experience with the following cam specs. There is a guy selling a new one for a good price, but I can't seem to find a whole lot of info on it.

226/229 .575 .578 112 Lsa

Thoughts on it? Obviously will upgrades springs, retainers, replace oil pump etc. Specifically interested in this cams performance. Looking for improvement under the curve, but I do not want to leave 30hp on the table if there is a better cam for my mild car. Thanks for any insight!

You'd be leaving power on the table with that cam compared to others

No expert by any means....but I'd go with more intake duration in the 23x range. Contact a sponsor>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> and see what they recommend for you application.

You dont have enough stall to go much bigger. Looking at your stall speed and the fact that its a daily driver id say that's about as big of a cam as youd want to install. Something around 220-224 would really wake the car up and maintain fantastic driveability. Dont listen to the knuckleheads that try to steer you to a cam thats too big for your application.

I agree with 01ssreda4.

Something like this would be right up your alley IMO: http://store.cammotion.com/the-titan2.

You could probably step up to the Titan 3, but that depends where your stall really falls in that broad RPM range you posted. I erred on the side of caution...driving an overcammed understalled auto is the worst thing ever. I know from experience.

Buddy bought a 222/222 comp cam for dirt cheap. We put that in an m6 car with 4.10 gears and it was a blast to drive, power everywhere, great manners, good gas mileage, it is made for this type of application which is why I recommended what I did. Definitely give cam motion grinds a look.

IMO, that's too much cam for a "mild" car. Fusion might say slightly different on the stall, but you might need a 4400 to run that cam halfway decent. If you're in any way concerned about mpg, that cam will kill it.

Yep, I would run a 4k+ converter with that. You can get away with your 3600 no doubt about it, but dont be surprised if you pull up next to me with a smaller cam and get drug

I run a cam with those exact specs but with more lift. That's with a 6.0 that has 4.10 gears and a 6-speed. Even on my setup I wouldn't want a cam much bigger. Definitely a bit too much for your setup IMO

Thanks for the input think I'll opt for the smaller cam originally I was looking at. Any recommendations on spring kit for this cam?
