need a cam

Im in need of a cam for lq4 with ported 317 heads and longtubes ported intake manifold its in a 2001 Silverado 2500 im looking for a cam around this .050 .212/.218 .553/.553 lsa 113+2
.050 .214/.220 .553/.553 lsa 114

its a dd and I tow with it just looking to wake it up and have a little lope to it
any thoughts or advise is great

Check out the truck in my sig. With the 3k stall it moves pretty good for the weight its pushing under 2000 rpm it's a little soft. If you have a good stall going in with it that would help a lot. I think the cams you have would be good for the lower tq range even if you give up a little up top

If you want torque AND lope, see if you can get the first cam you listed cut on a 110 LSA.

Higher stall converters are great for acceleration, but might not be good for towing. I would check the auto trans section out, see if anyone in there has advice.

would a btr stage 3 truck cam with one of his spring kits be a good dd/play/towing (not too worried about towing)package or would the spring be alittle overkill and just go with some .600 springs
