Default GM# 12498544 head gaskets are these the OEM replacement?

Doing a head gasket on a ls1 with 241 heads, the original head gaskets were graphite so I wanted to know if the replacement gaskets for the graphite are the GM# 12498544 gasket shown below or is ot better to get the felpro from autozone?

Does your heads have a notch in them? If so you need the proper gasket. If they don't you can use the ones in the pic you supplied.

the early LS1 heads came with a notch. Makes gasket shopping a real pain. The notch will be about 1-3/8" long, 1/4"-3/8" wide, and about 1/8" deep and will be near one of the two middle chambers.

If you have a notched head, you should use the graphite gasket. Fel pro does make a couple of very specific multilayer steel gaskets that work with notched heads.

Google notched ls1 heads and you'll get the information you need to determine what type of head gaskets you need.

GLT1, yes that is the correct part number (12498544). The motor I built was a 2001 with 241 heads and had graphite gaskets. The GM MLS gasket you mentioned is the replacement and will work. Those are the ones I am currently running in my motor with no problems.
