Any issue with using new lifters on a used camshaft? My friend seems to think I must use the lifters that were with the cam but from what I've heard on roller cams that isn't necessary.

Thanks, I figured he was going off of old school hydraulic flat tappet that have a wear pattern but my understanding is roller cam shafts do not have this issue right?

As long as the used cam is not pitted it will be fine.

So the heads and cam came in today and upon a quick serial number run the cam is not a TSP torquer V2 but a Comp Cams XFI-XE-R 281HR. The specs that I was given were correct but I don't know why he was calling this cam a V2, I assumed it was a torquer when he said that. Will this cam still get the job done? it seems like the V2 and it have similar specs, the V2 just has slightly higher lift.

I think that TSP slightly revised the Torquer V2 specs recently. The Comp Cams XFI-XE-R 281HR matches the specs of the older version of the Torquer V2 identically.
