LQ4/L92 Cam Check
Hey guys, I want yall's opinion and advice on my cam pick.
I've got an '05 LQ4 with the dished pistons/exhaust valve relief and it sticks out of the hole around .010". The heads are L92 heads shaved .030" and I've got .051" head gaskets. Compression is around 10.3:1.
I'm thinking of trying Comp Cams 285LRR HR13 with 0.621/0.624 lift and 235/251 duration at 0.050". There is a HotRod Magazine article out there where they tried to run this cam with an LQ9 but couldn't due to PTV issues, so I'm wondering if anyone could give me pro's and cons?
I have to be honest, I found a video of this cam in an LS3 and I fell in love with the sound, so that has a bit of influence in my decision. I've been doing a lot of research on cams in an effort to avoid being one of those "just tell me what to use" kinda guys, but sometimes the best way to learn is to ask! Thanks guys.

My 2 cents would be to hit up one of the popular vendors and have them spec a cam with ur set up! They can provide u with a good peforming cam and that has a sound to it.. hit up cam motion , tsp , vengeance, martin smallwood or geo @ eps
