Default pushrods for LS6 cam?

If I use a (NEW) LS6 cam, with LS7 lifters, and stock rockers, in an early, 241 headed, 2000 LS1, will the stock length 7.400 pushrods work without all of the length checking 'rigamarole'/complications?

Is the LS6 bumpstick small enough to work with these, and if not, which ones, and with what springs (LS6, mild PACS/Comps/Lunatis/etc.)?

Thanks in advance.

It might work, but it won't be right...the "5308" LS6 cam has a .050" smaller base circle than the other LS1 cams. It requires a longer pushrod. I used 7.425" pushrods in mine.

I used stock rockers, the $53 "blue" GM valve springs, and the longer pushrods...worked great.

EDIT: I should have added I measured 2 or 3 times to come up with my final measurement...lots of reading...measure twice, order once...

Stock ls1 pushrods are actually around 7.380. If you have 7.400 they might work. Just have to check your preload

It isn't that hard to check. Hell, I put an LS2 cam in a 5.3 with 862 heads and LS7 lifters and wound up needing 7.325" pushrods for proper preload. It is one of those things where you don't want to assume.

The LS1 and LS6 used the exact same pushrods, but the LS6 had slightly taller valve stems. Your originals should work OK since stock preload is around 0.100" from those stock setups I have measured.

The ls7 lifter cup sits .050 higher than the ls1. It is highly recommended you measure and order the correct pushrods.
